Great company in Overland Park, KS is looking for a Business Analysis Lead/Manager.  In additional to performing a Sr. Business Analysis role and managing some smaller projects, this position will have the BA team reporting directly to them.  This person will serve as the right hand of the Director of the PMO.  Huge opportunity for growth with a solid worldwide company!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs analysis through interviewing, analyzing documents, facilitating requirements workshops, conducting surveys, and/or visiting sites.

  • Produces as-is and to-be process flow diagrams.

  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents requirements. Translates business requirements into functional and technical requirements.

  • Utilizes technical skills, coupled with business intelligence knowledge and a deep understanding of the customer's needs so that they can be transformed into application, data and operational requirements.

  • Builds partnerships, develops and nurtures productive business relationships with the business and technology partners to ensure their business needs are met.

  • Gathers documents and maintains functional and/or technical specifications for new or modified business systems.

  • Facilitates the gathering of system requirements, current operational and other procedures, problems, system integration points, data scope, usage, formatting, security requirements and instructions.

  • Consults and coordinates with analysts and developers to design and develop systems, including both high-level and detailed user and system design requirements.

  • Acts as a facilitator of meetings and correspondence between technical and functional teams.

  • Develops, coordinates, implements and executes test plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing. Assists with User Acceptance (UAT) testing as needed.

  • Understands and applies standards, methodologies, processes, and procedures. Participates in the development of standards, tools, methodologies, processes, and procedures.

  • Participates in simultaneous engagements and initiatives.

  • Demonstrates the core competencies relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Manages, motivates and develops team of Business Analysts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Life Insurance Industry is manditory

  • Vendor Management experience is a plus

  • Self-driven and proactive team player

  • Effective facilitation skills – ability to facilitate agreement across functional teams to deliver an overall business solution

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships across groups and all management levels

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field

  • Project Management Experience

  • Prior Lead experience is a plus
