Sr. Compensation Analyst
AdamsGabbert is currently assisting one of our clients in their search for a permanent Sr Compensation Analyst in the St. Louis Mo, area.
 
This position is with a large, stable fortune 500 company that has an excellent employee retention rate and has been on Fortune’s “100 Best Companies To Work For” list.
 
This Compensation position is a bit unique in that fact that, while large, the company evaluates comp on a case-by-case basis.
 
Qualified applicants need to be able to demonstrate experience in reviewing area comp, internal comp in comparable roles, and individual experience to come up with an individualized comp package.
 
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate the confidence and influencing ability to relay that decision to management/HR with professionalism and finesse.
 
Applicants will be responsible for about 3000 individual employees falling into about 100-150 job descriptions in Management and Sr. Management job functions.
Responsibilities: 
  • Partner with HR Generalists and business clients to understand and support their business objectives by providing analytical support, counseling, and compensation advice for their functional areas.
  • Implement and administer compensation policies and programs, recommending solutions or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems.  Participate in the revision of compensation processes as needed to optimize results.
  • Consult client groups on compensation related issues. Educate client groups on compensation policies and programs.
  • Lead functional market pricing initiatives, analyze competitive market data and assure our competitive market position. Review internal equity and prepare proposals to management on salary adjustments.
  • Responsible for participation in published compensation surveys throughout the year. Analyze survey output, market trends, and industry competitive pay practices to ensure positions are market competitive and meet overall plan objectives.
  • Understand industry compensation practices and new developments. Participate in the alignment of compensation programs with business needs and the development of creative solutions for business retention and recruitment issues
  • Manage and lead the annual incentive process with client groups                                                 
  • Lead and/or participate in various compensation projects as needed
Required Skills/Experience:
 
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, Accounting or related field of study
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a SR Compensation role with demonstrated experience in Total Rewards/Compensation practices, principles, concepts, and standards
  • Proven ability to be analytical and evaluate data effectively
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
  • Demonstrated ability to consult and interface and apply influencing skills
  • Ability to constructively challenge the status-quo to achieve better results
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Proficient in MS Excel (specific proficiency with V-lookup, pivot tables, macros, and advanced formatting)
